WHAT IS VIVA PREMIUM PONTE?
Ponte, sometimes also known as Ponti Roma, was named by the Italians who invented the stitch technique used to create it. It is a double-knit fabric that is loved for its structure, comfort stretch, and subtle sheen. It’s a cloth that feels luxurious on the body, while maintaining a strong silhouette and clean lines.
WHY IS IT GREAT?
To create Ponte, it is necessary to combine a tri-blend of yarns such as cotton, viscose/rayon or polyester alongside a Nylon, and a stretch elastane/spandex.
Our Ponte is a rayon blend, with a compact finishing technique that stabilises shrinkage and a depth of colour that will remain, which would not be the case with a cotton mix quality.
It is much heavier than the jersey we offer in our Foundation collection, at 380gsm, and with that weight comes breathable warmth and high-functioning stretch recovery.
Offered across a medley of shapes in each of our Autumn / Winter Collections, and always in black, we are confident you’ll love, wear, wash, and repeat these pieces frequently.

WASH CARE
Cold gentle hand wash with similar colours. Avoid soaking, rubbing, bleaching, or wringing. Do not tumble dry; line dry in shade. Use a cool iron if needed. Dry cleanable.
