It has taken me a few days to properly land after what was one of the most meaningful weekends I have experienced in a long time.
I have just returned from Canberra, where we were part of Revel the Runway 2026, and I can say, with complete honesty, my heart is full.
Revel the Runway, created by Amy @WearTheDamnDress, is not just a fashion event. It is a movement. One that is grounded in inclusivity, and the belief that fashion should be for everybody, not just a select few. And that is something I will always stand behind.
This year we witnessed a step up - more models, more brands, a spectacular venue and sponsorship by The Female Leader.

Why Inclusive Fashion Matters More Than Ever
I am often asked what women really want from their clothing and after decades of designing, fitting and listening, I know the answer to be simple. Women want to feel comfortable, confident and considered. They want clothing that works with their body, not against it.
And yet, for so long, the fashion industry has offered a very narrow version of who fashion is for. Events like Revel the Runway challenge that. They remind us that style is not defined by size. That confidence is not reserved for one shape. That every woman deserves to see herself represented.
Watching a runway that truly reflected women, across sizes, ages and backgrounds, was incredibly powerful. Not as a statement but as a standard.

Seeing Philosophy Australia on Everybody
This year, we were proud to showcase the Philosophy Australia collection on 11 models, including our host Trish, wearing sizes 12 through to 20, within our broader size offering of 8 to 24.
For me, this is where design becomes real, as I do not design for a mannequin. I design for discerning and busy women, living full on lives, needing clothing that supports them from morning through to evening.
To see our pieces worn across different body shapes and proportions, and to see each woman bring her own energy, her own confidence, her own story to the garment, is the most rewarding part of what I do. I love to see that smile, when they know they look good.
It reinforces something I have always believed, that great design is not about changing the woman to fit the clothing. It is about creating clothing that honours her as she is.
Slow Fashion, Real Women, Real Impact
We manufacture every garment in Sydney. That is a choice I make every day and stands our brand apart. We do this not because it is easy, but because it allows us to focus on what matters. Fit. Fabric. Feel. Longevity and Heritage.
Australia is half our name for that very reason.
As I mentioned in my welcoming comments at the show, I am proud to be a brand within the 3% of Australian made fashion. I just wish more brands would join too.
Slow fashion, for me, has always been about creating pieces that women reach for repeatedly. Pieces that earn their place in a wardrobe, because when clothing fits well, feels good and is thoughtfully made, it allows women to step forward with confidence.
And that trust and confidence is what truly transforms how a garment is worn.

A Personal Reflection: Fashion and the Next Generation
My greatest joy from the weekend was not just the runway. It was having my daughter Cecilia by my side.
Sharing these moments with her is something I do not take for granted. Because what she sees now will shape what she expects from the industry in the future. And I want her to see a version of fashion that is inclusive. That is respectful. That celebrates diversity in all its forms.
Not as a trend, but as a given. Because that is how we create a future where women feel represented, supported and confident in what they wear.

A Space Worth Celebrating
Amy, what you have created with Revel the Runway is something very special.
A space where women can come together, be seen, be celebrated and feel part of something bigger than themselves.
As a designer, as a business owner and as a mother, I left Canberra feeling incredibly grateful to have been part of it; and more certain than ever that fashion, when done well, has the power to include, uplift and connect.
Let’s revel in that joy x
