Philosophy Australia announced a winner in the 2026 SHE-com Women in Ecommerce Awards as Best Sustainable and Ethical Fashion Product Brand
This morning started in the very best possible way.
I woke to find an email sharing the wonderful news that Philosophy Australia has been announced as the winner of Best Sustainable and Ethical Fashion Product Brand at the 2026 SHE-com Women in Ecommerce Awards.
Cue the happy dances!
We are absolutely delighted, a little emotional, and very grateful to the SHE-com team for recognising our product, our processes, our values and the many hands behind every Philosophy Australia garment.
As a Sydney based women’s fashion design house, our style philosophy has always been beautifully simple: easy wear, easy care and wear anywhere. We create Australian designed and produced women’s wear with quality, fit and timeless style at the heart of everything we do.
But behind that simple phrase sits a very real commitment.
- A commitment to local manufacturing.
- A commitment to ethical production.
- A commitment to responsible, considered fashion.
- A commitment to keeping skills, jobs and creativity right here in Australia.
- Because yes, we are 100% made in Sydney.
Not designed here and made elsewhere. Not partly local. Not just using Australian language because it sounds nice.
Every Philosophy Australia garment is created through our local supply chain, from concept and sketch through to pattern, cut, make, trim, dispatch, merchandising and marketing. We use a couture make method, meaning one machinist makes one garment from start to finish, allowing a level of care, quality and accountability that is increasingly rare in fashion today.
We proudly produce across three factory hubs, alongside our cutter and our HQ here in Willoughby, with an extended team of more than 40 people involved in bringing a sketch to life and turning it into a garment to be worn and loved.
So this award is not just for me.
It is for every team member, stockist and customer who has continued to believe in Australian made fashion.
It is for the team who care about every stitch, every fit note, every dispatch, every customer, every repeat order and every “this is the best pant I have ever purchased” review that makes our hearts sing.
At Philosophy Australia, sustainability is not a trend line or a marketing campaign. It is simply the way we choose to operate.
We produce slowly and intentionally. We focus on quality over quantity. We value cost per wear over impulse. We make garments designed to be worn, washed, repeated and loved for many seasons.
We will always champion the idea that fashion can be beautiful without being wasteful, stylish without being disposable, and commercial without compromising on values.
We are incredibly proud that our ethical and sustainable credentials have been recognised in this way. We know SHE-com would have received many impressive applications, so to be chosen as the winner in this category feels very special indeed.
And when the medal arrives in the post? It is going straight on the pool room shelf.
