Our Bengaline offers true four-way stretch, allowing garments to move with the body while retaining their shape wear after wear. It is strong yet refined, supportive yet comfortable, and designed to be lived in rather than saved for special occasions.
For many years, our original Bengaline quality has been the backbone of our core pant styles. We now refer to this fabric as Heritage, a name that reflects both its longevity and its proven performance. Heritage Bengaline has a lighter weight with a soft paper like hand feel and is used across some of our most loved and enduring styles including Gem, Narrow, Wow, Everyday and Arrow. These are the pants that many women discover first and return to time and time again, building wardrobes around their reliability and ease.
As the brand has evolved, so too has our Bengaline offering. In recent seasons, we introduced a second Bengaline quality to the collection, responding to women who were looking for something with a little more structure and an alternative feel. This new quality is called Zenya.
Zenya Bengaline is a slightly heavier weight fabric with a drier hand feel, offering a more substantial touch while maintaining the same comfort and stretch Philosophy is known for. Where Heritage feels papery and light, Zenya feels more substantial. It holds the body beautifully and lends itself to silhouettes that feel a little more directional, without sacrificing wearability.
Zenya is currently available in a refined colour palette of black, navy, white and silt, a soft modern neutral, alongside a confident pop of red. These colours were chosen to balance versatility with personality, allowing women to build outfits that feel timeless yet current.
In Zenya Bengaline, we offer two considered silhouettes that bring a fresh energy to the collection.
The first is Concert, a style that became a standout favourite throughout 2025 and continues to gain momentum as we move into 2026. Concert is a crop culotte style that sits just above the ankle. She features a deep waistband for comfort and support, practical pockets and a straight cut that remains the same width from hip through to hem. This creates a clean, modern line that feels relaxed yet intentional.
Concert is slightly more fashion oriented in silhouette than our classic styles, making her ideal for women who want something contemporary while still grounded in comfort. She is also offered in printed options under the name Ticket, bringing a playful expression to the same trusted shape.
Alongside Concert, we introduced Lane, a cropped interpretation of our bestselling Narrow pant. She carries the same slim leg line and the same clean elasticated waistband detail that women love but is cut to a cropped length just above the ankle. Lane was introduced initially in black and has already proven herself as a strong addition to the range, offering a fresh option for those who love Narrow but want a slightly different proportion.
